was pleased with the overall apearance inside and out of the white horse. the food is reasonably priced and the garden is just great for those summer time drinks in the beer garden! (very large side and rear gardens) i would have to agree with "porsche-drivers" comment on the one out of three meals are good tho. this is perfect boozer for watching the world cup or fav team playing. the drinks prices however are not as low as other locals in the southend area. kids are welcome but not allways a plus when the load mouth mums in the area have had a few!!

excellent pub for the garden. the food is cheap but very haphazard. you get three good meals then a bad one. guess it depends whos working. the customers are typical southend bods!! some nice and friendly others loud brash and obnoxious. will visit again but during day not night.

Big pub with a big garden. You can take the kids in during the day. The food is reasonably priced but typical heated up fare. Service was good the few times I've been in there.

Excellent atmosphere, great light friendly bar. Well priced drinks. Much, much better than before it was refurbished.
