Well, at least it's by the station....

Damn awful GK fodder. Packed out with idlers drinking Snakebite midweek who can't go 30 seconds without spunking some silver on some artifical tinny noise over the duke box. Crap beer.

Loud music and three TV screens plus the dimmest (but pleasant) bar maid I've ever come across. On the other hand it sold bottles of Suffolk Strong, so can't be all bad.

The last pub out the 10 we did that day, so I can't remember the last beer I had but from previous comments I think GK IPA was right, the 'selection' was poor. Very much a community pub - pool table & all that. Very handy for the train station - only 80 metres or so away & it's all downhill - Worth a pint whilst checking your watch every 30 seconds.

Went during the day on a Saturday, pool table, juke box, a couple of locals already quite drunk, you get the idea. Having said that I put 'She's Lost Control' on the juke box and enjoyed myself. Greene King pub, beer was reasonably good.

Shame only had GK IPA on tap when we were doin a goring-pangbourne stroll the other day, 6/10

Rather disappointing considering the positive remarks attached, the weakest venue on our Goring and Reading crawl yesterday. Only GK ipa on offer; it was ok but thats all its ever going to be. A pool table one side of the bar & a handful of locals sombrely watching Chelsea West Ham on the other, no hostility but no sense of warmth either. Barmaid was friendly enough and helpfully pointed out the Reading train times listed at the bar. Taxi driver back from Aldworth suggested Queens was frequented by younger (albeit not chavvy) locals, but it was very quiet on this visit.

A realy good local, fairly priced to attract all. the food is exellent although basic. This pub has a good mix of customers young and elderly.A credit to the tennants.

As a visitor to Goring am delighted to find a real English pub with atmosphere. Watched the World Cup there on Sunday, surrounded by very friendly locals. resonably priced food and excellent beer. What more could they do? We all had a great time.

Pool table, pub games (not many of these in G&S), friendly staff. More of a drinking pub than food but the food is cheapest in the village and not the worst.
