Imposing edifice, solidly decorated in traditional Holts house fashion. Excellent Bitter enjoyed on my visit. Tidy and friendly enough.

Great pub, brilliant beer, friendly natives. Good pool table, high quality darts team, and generally nice atmosphere throughout whenever i go in
Not for youngsters, more for people who like a good drink of good beer in relaxed surroundings

Big, typical Holt's pub. Good quality beer, popular with the local CAMRA group.

Under new Management, food is now supposed to be excellent, I can vouch for the beer being top notch

Decent locals pub serving cheap Holts beer which is not to everybodys taste but friendly sort of place.

Far too smokey and needs a refurb

Big, bright pub with loads of room. Cheap beers and friendly staff. Haven't eaten here so I can't rate the food. Will post again when I have. More of an old mans pub - music gets played at a decent level so you can have a conversation without having to shout.

Not bad for a Holt's pub, quite large and not too dingy.

Well the highs and lows.Holts bitter, rocket fuel and dirt cheap. The pub is named after an enlistment point for troops during the Napoleonic era. Here the classiness stops (although the pub does have a piano). Suffers from it's proximity to the nearby DSS office.Always handy en route to the Bridge or into Sale from Stretford but too close to the Bulls Head and the (now derelict) Waggon and Horses. You could cut the smokey atmosphere with a knife
