This pub is worth a visit for the non-prejudiced community. Varied nights, from Themes Nights with a free drink for those in costume to nights of pure cheese. Very friendly customers! DJ's are VERY willing to do requests. All round a good night out in a very unique club/pub.

i absolutley love the dungeon. i have never come across an arrogant person in there. yes, its dingy and dirty but i think that adds to the appeal. and the garden is perfect in the summertime. i would recommend a trip to the dungeon even if its not your usual sort of music, the people you will meet are lovely.

I haven't been here in a while. Essentially a pub to drink and listen to goth and punk music. Dark, dingy but a friendly enough place.

Fear not those who will be individual and wont follow a crowd, for they do frequent the Dungeon, and what nice people they are. Honeslty, its people with nothing to prove, and who wont fall for fasion, and I raise my hat to those good people. But the place itself, well, frankly its disgusting, rather filthy and the door staff have issues which they take out on people having a right old dance. In my experience anyway, but I was better off for a few pints of cider, which were excellent and served with a black lip-lined smile.

A place that i grew up with as an aspiring alternative muso in the southampton area. Rose tinted specs aside the dungeon is the dungeon:- god awful decor, dance area with woeful approach to ventilation/oxygen requirements, the same sad faces you know you'll still be seeing in another 10 years time and more beer on the floor than behind the bar... and yet its still a jolly night out. go and see for yourself but for f*%ks sake dont expect the Ritz.

ITS GREAT And Goth said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. And Goth saw that the light was good; and Goth separated the dark from the darkness. Goth called the dark Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

It's all about the music. Punk, Rock and Goth. Completely hassle free place. People cool. Go with a crowd and dance till you drop. Guess the people who didn't like it are more into Townie places.

I used to go here all the time and I really enjoyed it, the people in thier may appear scary to some but they're mostly harmless and a good luagh, like most pubs on the valley it's not a hell hole like the ones in town and there is a lot less agro.

The Dungeon is a great place to go! I agree with Georgia 110% the staff are not in the slightest bit intimidating. I think the Dungeon is about the friendliest place to go in Southampton! No townies, no trouble and a FANTASTIC atmosphere!

Its alright.

Couldn't agree more, this is a nasty, bitchy little hole in a nasty, bitchy little part of town. And I would say that Georgia is obviously a member of staff, Anon.

The Dungeon is a club that has changed names and decor often over the past few years but, at the core is the same. With great management and a fantastic clientele, it makes for a funky night out. Different nights cater for different music tastes and everyone is welcome. Add some sexy bar staff, some inspiring cocktails (I can recomend a Green Demon or a Man Breast, if it takes your fancy) and very accomodating DJ's and you get a warm atmosphere. And as an afterthought, I can't remember it ever being called Legends...and I knew it when it was The Crown and Sceptre! PS: When have you ever seen the Dorchester packed on a saturday night?
