Good local pub with friendly clientele and staff. Good value food served all day, tasty and good portions. Greene King ales on handpump and good selection of other beverages. One of the better pubs in this area nowadays, comfortable and welcoming for locals and families alike.

Now a Greene King "Meet & Eat" pub, good value, excellent steaks. Real Ale is IPA plus one other which alternates between Abbots and a Guest Ale. Comfortable décor now it has been re-furbished.

Agree with Adam that you get a lot of food for your money. But we'll have to disagree on the food being any good. Place is very basic - in true Hungry Horse style it has the feel of a low-end chain pub with pretty undiscerning customers. But it's the kind of place where you know what you're getting, and you get what you pay for, so if this is your kind of place it'll do the job just fine.

This is part of the Hungry Horse Chain. The food is excellect. You get alot for your money. There is a good selection of beer and if you like football they show all the games on a 10foot, yes 10foot screen. They show other sporting events too. So if you want good food at low prices and a bit of footie then this pub is for you. P.S. If there is a big game on the place can get very busy.
