Saturday night - no band & empty. Still no ale, but the regulars live off guinness & lager, so that's all right then.

A pub with a good atmosphere last Friday night but let down by the beer choice. Four Guinness pumps but not one ale choice - and the Heineken was off. Nethertheless I still had change from £7 for the two pints I did order which is a refreshing change in London these days.

The white wine isn't very cold. But it is 14% so I am past caring

Really lively pub, good atmosphere last night (Saturday). Let down by a total lack of ale. Prob best to have a few in the Traf or the Sultan first

A great little pub next to South Wimbledon and about fifteen minutes' walk from central Wimbledon. It recently got rid of the old jukebox and installed a state-of-the-art jukie and guess what? Pop music returned! The old jukie had reflected the taste of the landlord - Irish country music, ballads and some rock and roll - but the new one has seen the place become popular with younger people (by younger I mean anyone under sixty!)
It's a very comfortable, traditional place and is authentically Irish. Live music of differing kinds and the occasional DJ can be enjoyed most weekends and there's a trad Irish session on a Tuesday night. Good boozing to be had and the staff are friendly and efficient. No real ale. Excellent craic on St. Patrick's Day including a piper and bacon and cabbage. Recommended.

This is a little gem of a pub. Its very homely and comfortable with a friendly clientele. The drinks are nice and very reasonably priced, staff are effiecient and friendly. Little bit unkept but definitely worth a visit

Great live music Friendly atmosphere

Its like stepping back into Ireland. Nice pub and a good little atmosphere.

Visited this pub last night as part of a mini-crawl - utterly superb. Immediate aroma of open fire was a good start but it was the Irish music which was the star of the show. A group of around 15-20 individuals playing and singing informally was something I have not experienced before and was superb. We left reluctantly to continue pub crawl but came back at 11 and drank until midnight listening to the live music. Superb - no real ale though...

Really didn't like it here. Full of very drunk middle-aged men who took a dislike to me. Won't be going back.

this pub is quaint at first but dodgy enough. it takes ages to get a pint although the staff are friendly.would probably not go again though

I love this place - a home from home with a fantastic open fire lovingly attended to by Sonny & Co. Noel and staff extend a welcome to young and old alike. Jukebox is loaded with classics and live bands play most weekends. Also sell Tayto and Club orange and do great boiled bacon sandwiches. Exterior has also had a facelift since this pic was taken. Friendly crowd always mad for the dancing!

The staff are extremely friendly but watch out if you are English.

A good family run Irish pub, excellent bar staff, the juke box's is a dream, good pints, clientele laid back. Good session music on Tuesday nights. Late bar.

The interior of the pub is average however every Tuesday night there is a fantastic music session with on average 10 musicians. The music is traditional Irish and all are free to join in! Fantastic place!

This used to be very atmospheric pub when it was named the Dark House - now after its conversion to 'Oirish' it's gross. They were obviously too many Irish pubs in South Wimbledon as both the Grove Tavern and the Swan were breifly renamed faux ethnically but have changed back - good job too!

For any Irish in London this pub is a must!!! There is an almighty music session on a sunday, great for those who can handle the allday dinking, not so great if you have to get up for work on monday...A great craic!!
