Eyewateringly expensive drinks - 9.45 for a small glass of red wine and a pint of bitter!!! I thought the barmaid had made a mistake when I got my change.... nice enough setting.

Ownership has changed yet again. Underwent a major refurb and is now more of a restaurant than a pub. Terrace etc. look very nice but prices are far too high (8.50 for a pint of old hooky's and a small glass of wine). Still probably the loveliest beergarden near Oxford (hence the price)

Just reopened under new management, looking much better for an update inside more welcoming. Beer is in great condition, and the selection is pretty good. The food is excellent and seems very fresh, and the service was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this pub, especially when the sun is shining, the garden is outstanding.

Spent a lovely afternoon in the Flowing Well. Had a great lunch (fresh ingredients - lovely spuds!) lovely big garden, excellent friendly staff - highly recommended

onwership has changed. The place has been partly converted into one of those boring pub/bistro places with Ikea/MFS-style furniture etc. No more bands during sunday lunch and the relaxed atmosphere has gone too. On the positive side you now get the food you ordered (and rather substantial portions too!) and the service is good. The beergarden is still great so for a sunday out it;s still a good place to go.

GREAT PUB. FANTASTIC FOOD. ALL MADE ON THE PREMISES NOT A BOIL IN BAG IN SIGHT! LOADS OF VEGGY CHOICES AND A SUNDAY LUNCH TO DIE FOR! LIVE MUSIC ON FRIDAY NIGHTS ALWAYS GOOD AS LANDLORD IS GREAT GUITARIST HIMSELF. BEAUTIFUL SETTING AND WELCOMING STAFF.

lovely pub and nice people, good beergarden as well. Good food, but when the place gets too busy the kitchen can't keep up and waiting times can be veeeery long, we once waited for more than 1.5 hours. Leburn (the landlord) is a good musician, hence there's often live music during sunday lunches. Overall a great pub if you're not waiting for your food

This pub is the best! I drove all the way just to go there last time I was in London.

Friendly atmosphere, great food, good beer, lovely garden. Families, children, dogs, bikers all welcome. An all round great pub and one of the few that hasn't been taken over by a chain. Give it a go.

A friendly local pub, often visited by entire families. I had the chance to go by not too long ago for a visit as I'd not been in 25 years (since I left Sunningwell for America). It's changed a good bit, but still maintains its excellent menu and its gorgeous setting right in the heart of the village. Well worth the trip out of Abingdon proper.

Picturesque, good beer and a fabulous menu. Also one of the most unusual barmen you are ever likely to come across!!
