It might have been a "rubbish pub", but that photo brings back a few memories. It certainly looks better on that corner than the block of flats that have replaced it...As someone here commented "...you can turn a crap pub into a good one with a little effort. It's a lot harder to turn a block of flats into a pub of any sort." A real shame.

Demolished. It was a crap pub, but you can turn a crap pub into a good one with a little effort. It's a lot harder to turn a block of flats into a pub of any sort.
