A proper pub. Friendly landlady and landlord. 4 ales on offer, 3 of which I've never heard of before, plus Courage Best. Didn't try the food, but heard it's tasty and well priced.

Welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The interior has been decorated since our last visit and the new style is a great improvement, more airy (and less flowery!). In addition to this, the outside area at the rear of the building has been decorated with a vintage-chic style 'bar' area (you need to see for yourself) - creating a great focus and talking point. The ale is good, the bar staff friendly and the locals are cheerful - what more could one ask for in a village pub?!

Always a warm welcome whenever I've been in recently - the ale is always fine and the pork snackage is possibly the finest in the area!!

Used to be a nice pub! Really smoky and only one real ale - not even any of the local hogsback brewery ones!
Very disappointing.

Quiz Nights & Karaoke is very popular and 95% of the customers at this pub enjoy this kind of regular entertainment.
There is lots of beer to choose from at this pub and because the local Hogsback beer is not served does not cause any concern. Not everyone enjoys ale!!!

Live music seems to have stopped in favor of quiz nights and karaoke, the ale is not on good form as most seem to drink london pride and the rest is just left, had on london pride, Green king IPA and Courage best, not even the local beer Hogsback
