For some eason it's one of the only places in Bournemouth that puts me on edge, There's a weird vibe and a felling that it could all kick off at any moment. That said it does make for an intereting night out.

Quite dead in there! Also, look out for a girl with tattoos from head to toe - there was a bloke in there who I heard saying he wanted to roast her? I think he said his name was Tony?

Slam was always good for that 9.30 - 11.30 period. The downstairs bit was always shite and full of people who couldnt afford to go to a decent club. But it was good as a bar. Drinks were very reasonable (for Bournemouth) and I can't complain too much about the music. It was a good place for getting hammered cheap before Elements. My heart sunk when I saw the hideous multi-colours of Disco Mania which it became this summer. There was absolutely no requirement for a 70's bar in Bmouth, let alone 2 right next to each other. As we all predicted it didn't last long and its now changed to something else, which will hopefully be more like Slam was.

Strange mix of under 18s and people looking for fights dressed like 50-Cent. But strangely fun if very inebriated and crazily cheap on alcopops some nights.

in a word, cack. student-haunt; mainly cuz its cheap and not far from halls. hurry up and get plastered so you can move on into Elements. better yet, dont bother, go to Yates and Walkabout and end up in Firestation. for non-students? YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME, TURN BACK BEFORE ITS TOO LATE

Modern, stylish bar with good selection of music, and some decent drinks offers. Club Slam recently opened as a part of it underneath the main bar. Free to get in. Otherwise Elements (club) is right next door.
