Great little pub with 3-4 beers on tap. Friendly bar staff and reasonable prices. Well worth a visit

Friendly, very tidy pub off the main drag. Had a very fine pint of Harveys Best, three other beers on. Good place to while away a coupla hours of an afternoon.

Nice place. dart board, wooden floor clean toilets and wonderful staff.

Friendly backstreet pub opposite a Waitrose, and on Whitecross Street which has a foodmarket on Thursdays and Fridays. You can take food into the Two Brewers to eat with your drinks. Standard beers are Greene King IPA and Fullers London Pride.

Pleasant backstreet boozer. Beer range was nothing special, but it's a handy place to visit if you're taking in a show at the Barbican.

The pub has definitely changed in the last couple of years. More music and drama students from the Guildhall School and orchestral payers from the Barbican Centre (the usual suspects!). Still a fair mix of locals, though I fear they are being priced out a little. Green King IPA and London Pride on draught.

The denizens of Whitecross Street are rightly proud of their little slice of old working class London, miraculously intact despite the encroachment of the nearby Barbican and middle class playpen of Hoxton. This boozer does a great job of serving the traditional community (although many of them probably now live in Chingford or Potter's Bar), whilst remaining very welcoming to a range of outsiders - city boys, media types and social climbers keepng it real. The dartboard takes centre stage which can never be a bad thing.

Came across to me as a decent backstreet boozer. A number of obvious regulars came in while I was in there, which is a good sign. No food, but they seemed to be happy for you to bring in your own and eat it there. Not really worth going out of your way to find, but definitely a good place to stop off for a pint. Real ales were GKIPA and Spitfire. And they played Stairway to Heaven!

The blackboard outside now has the message "GOOD FOOD? WHY NOT BRING IT INSIDE AND HAVE A PINT AS WELL". Very droll.

A great little boozer I visit when in the area for work. Has changed hands recently ... staff and punters friendly so always someone to shoot the breeze with which is pretty much a novelty these days...good mix of the older eastenders and young blow ins. No food but you go to Restaurants for food ..right?

This pub is quiet expensive i wouldnt expect it to be this dear for a back street local

This a pub that does what it says on the label. It sells drink to the locals. The Guvnrs and staff are friendly and obliging and the beer well-kept. It could certainly use a sympathetic refurb. They do not offer food but as the place is surrounded by eateries - so what! It is that rarity in Central London - a genuine and tolerant 'local'. It is more or less compulsory to be lugging a Waitrose poly bag.

Pub with a rough reputation over the years - best avoided.

What is this boozer actually like, I pass it on the way to and from work most days and have often wondered. Looks like it could be either quite a good little no frills local or unspeakably grim.

I worked here about 9 years ago was a great place to meet the locals and I really enjoyed my time here, Managed to gain intimate knowledge of several local Girls during my year there.
