shame this little boozer is gone, had 2 drink guinness in there, as no real ale and the guinness was great like being in dublin (yes it was that good). trouble is the brewers dont worry about these little pubs any more and they charge 2 much rent 4 them. great bunch of people in there 2,anyone know where all the lads drink now?as i do miss the craic!

best pint of guinness in town, but 2 small, regulars were all very nice and i will miss my daily couple of pints in there.

lets hope the brewers get off there arses and modernise the vic, landlords and lanladys have done very well over the years to keep it goin as a lovely little boozer, but it needs modernising and thats there job.it had very traditional ways ie. crib ,darts, poontoon and the card game 25s. only bad thing was the guys who took it over on a sunday lunchtime, other people did not feel at ease then and i think it has alot to do with it closing!ok the landlady needed a change ,but no way should it be closed.look at the pubs around here the woodman ,the nelson, the new town no atmosphere watsoever

shame to see this pub closed, the pint of guiness in there was spot on.whoever TIMMY is who says the youngs pub round the corner is better must be a youngs drinker or aged about 90! it had the friendly atmosphere a pub should have as for walrus put your proper name, coz i used the victory 4 25 years and i dont know who u r. the brewers are at fault 4 this little pub closing, all they worry about is the larger pubs in the towns.hiya to all the vics regulars!

Pub now closed & boarded up in the last couple of weeks. Only sold keg beer anyway so won't be missed.

Every time I go in there the beer is terrible, can't even rely on the lager. If you want a good pint go to the Nelson (Youngs Pub)'round the corner

Little being a understatement
The place is tiny

It's a dingy little place... did chip butties and sandwiches when the world cup was on (this was back in 1998). However, they did get an ant infestation once and it got into the pipes for the coke pourer thing, so i'd recommend asking for bottled coke.. :) apart from that little mishap, it was a great little friendly place. :)
