Superb Victorian traditional pub. Excellent beer, nice atmosphere.

A great Victorian pub, with three rooms and friendly staff. Has a pool table and TV for footy. As others have said, what makes this pub is the fact that it sells Pig on the Wall Mild, but there has been a dip in the quality of late. I always pop in though when touring Birchills!

Proper community local with several drinking areas; beer not as good as previously on last visit but still worth a trip to experience the pub.

Great Black Country local with superb beer - classic boozer decor
|
Friendly atmosphere. Well kept beers and the Pig on the Wall Mild is a real treat.

A classic old boozer with out of tune kareoke singers in the bar. A quiet smoke room. But the main attraction is the MILD. The gaffer keeps an excellent pint of Blackcounrty Breweries - Pig on The Wall MILD and apart from the Wellington in Brum and the Brewery tap in Gornal is the only other pub I know to that has this lovely drink. Note - watch out for any young inexperienced bar staff, as if you ask for MILD you might get served some dreadful keg Banks's Smooth, so always ask for the Pig.

One of the dozen pubs on this years Walsall MILD TRAIL. If you ask for MILD you are likely to get Banks's Original MILD, so be sure to ask for "PIG on the WALL". This MILD brewed in Gornal is excellent and extremely well kept here at the Rose & Crown. This is a proper pub with very pleasant staff and well worth a visit just for a few pints of PIG.

Starting beer festivals, good beera nad a decent range. Shame about the festival entertainment, extremely srange!. But all in all not bad at all.

Highgate Dark Mild plus an ever- changing guest (now titanic white star) One bar serves three main drinking areas, bar snacks include batches, cobs, rolls etc. Karaoke Friday & Sunday nights, mixed background music other times. 2 mins walk from Walsall Canal Museum, just out from town centre.
