Went in for family early evening meal on a Saturday. Full range of Timothy Taylor beers on draught and Dark Mild and Ram Tam seemed okay but nothing special in terms of quality. Food good and new menu was being introduced later that night. Pub very busy.

A large pub that we visited after enjoying a value-for-money 3-course curry at the nearby Cardamon restaurant. Somehow I was expecting more for this place. The full range of Timothy Taylor beers was available - Landlord, Golden Best, Dark Mild, Ram Tam & Best Bitter. Cider was Stowford Press. Unfortunately, the pub lacked atmosphere. It is quite large and there were only 2 other patrons, unlike most of the town centre pubs. We also waited nearly 5 minutes for the barmaid to appear. The dark leather seating makes it a comfortable drinking environment. But the lack of customers made the whole experience very average.

I had problems being served last time I went. Had to change the barrel and must have been waiting for about 20 minutes before I got my pint. Also was a bit pricey.

It's a smart pub with the full array of Taylor's beers. It seems more geared up for dining but unfortunately the standard of food isn't great. We waited for over 45mins for a steak & ale pie and a basic veggie pasta. Was told it was all cooked from fresh after 30mins of waiting. Seemed to be a lot of comings and goings from the kitchen by people but not much food emerging. When ours arrived the pie was a bit overdone and the pasta cold from hanging around. Won't be going again.

I visited the Brown Cow on 27 October and ordered tagliatelle with mushrooms in a walnut and white wine sauce. I was less than impressed to have a small dish of penne pasta with a tomato sauce and cheese. They said they had no mushrooms but no-one asked me for an alternative dish and I wouldn't have picked this one. It was bland and boring, I think it was assumed I was a vegetarian. They said I could have it for half the price I had paid and then tried to short change me! I will not go back again as it was awful and I won't be recommending it to any of my friends. I've rated it for the food only, but the beer is good and the young waitress was very nice and friendly.

Nice comments from loiner8, clearly cannot spell, I have no opinion either way for the pub but just loved reading this idiots remarks. Caramelised (not "caramalized" you retarded ignoramus) onions were burnt! No shit Sherlock. What do you think caramelised means??? Thick git. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. Utter pillock!

Very good beer here indeed, and consistently so in the couple of years I've been visiting Bingley. Friendly bar staff, a full range of Timothy Taylor's is usually on hand and I've yet to be disappointed, so much so that I've not bothered to check out any of the other pubs in the town.
I usually have a bit of food here too and it's always been very tasty. Just right after a walk along the canal from Shipley to work up an appetite.
Five minutes' walk from the railway station (it is possible to overdo this walking lark, after all).

viseted this pub for lunch 10/4 09 to say it was a bad experiance is a understatement 2 sandwiches took 40 mins to arrive and when they did they were poor the caramalized onions in the beef bagguette was burnt and the very nice roast ham was spoilt by a stale bread roll and came with a disgusting blaack gloopy gravy a pint of tim taylors was nowhre neer as good as one i had half a hour ago that i had in the nearby ferrand arms although a pint of ram tam was a lot better the landlady to her credit did listen to our complaints and was very appologetic
