Cellar House, Eatonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
The Cellar House is tucked away in the western suburb of Eaton. It is relatively close to the university. Predominantly a foodie pub, it did have 5 real ales - Adnams Bitter, Mosaic & Ghost Ship, Purity Ubu & Sharp's Sea Fury. We ate here too. I found the food reasonable, without being too wowed. Staff were friendly and professional.

Large pub set back from the old London Road on the approach to Eaton Village on the West side of Norwich, nice pint of Castle Rock beer at lunchtime, food looks good, was quite busy. Newspapers provided for non eaters, and a nice big garden. Worth a visit.

Bit posh in here but not bad, Lots of wood. TV showing Liverpool v Man U 6 hand pumps but only 5 beers Fullers London Pride, Adnams Southwold Bitter & Broadside & Woodfords Werry & Sundew. I had a pint of the later which was a bit ordinary and cost 3.40 .

This pub has totally changed in the last year. New ownership and Chef. These reviews i have read are not true. The staff are great and you get to know them on first names, which is a nice touch. They feel like your friends and gives the place a lovely family feel. The food is always good and much more choice, lite bites and main meals. Great portions and value. Also note if you catch a Karaoke night, they are brilliant. Love this pub and proud to call it my local. Worth trying.

I cannot believe how bad our meals were. We ate there on a Sunday and had the roast. The meat was fatty, the vegetables were hard, the roast potatoes were rock hard and were obviously out of a packet and the yorkshire pudding they had even managed to burn! My son had the Chilli which he described as just hot with no flavour to it whatsoever. The rice had been in the microwave too long and they even managed to burn the chips. Terrible!!!

We went last night to the Cellar House,Eaton, Norwich based on a friends recommendation for their Curry night. First off,the staff were rude, behind the bar they were unhelpful about the food menu and the waiter service was extremely rude and slow. Secondly, the Chinese Beef curry was revolting...a shame as the meat itself was very tender - but completely ruined by the sauce - a really strange choice ! Maybe it was a bad night and it's normally very nice - but we were very disappointed and won't be back again...ever

stay away!!!, i went to the cellar house for my 30th birthday, i will NEVER go there again, the toilets were disgusting, my fathers fish smelt of ammonia and they tried to tell us it was fine!!!, after getting filthy looks off the chef i had to leave, totally ruined my birthday.

Yeah, a bit iffy. I have been there on and off for years but a recent visit did not impress. The usually perfect adnams was not right, wherry the same. The food has always been patchy, if you pick well (specials, or things that are unlikely to be frozen) you can do well, but you can end up with an American style meal, enormous quantities of tasteless food.

Avoid! Waited 20 minutes in restaurant then eventually went to find someone to place our order... another 20 minutes and had to go and ask if our wine was on its way, food mediocre, and another 20 minute wait after asking for the bill, we gave up and went round to the bar to pay, to find our waitress putting on her coat and saying goodbye...! Not waitress of the year! Shame, lots of potential, but we wasted a babysit.

Jesus, what planet are these people on. Norwich's worst pub! Stinky, smokey, looks as though it needs a good clean. Food is trying to be trendy, but fails totally. Expensive, lacks imagination, do not be tempted by the flashy menu, all sound goods but trust me you will be dissapointed when it arrives. Too much reliance on the freezer for me. Staff, slow, unhelpful and surley. Especially the guy with the tattoo's, fancies himself, looks like he wants to rip your head off rather than get you a drink......You know the type....... Take my advice, avoid this place like the plague, and the other one just down the road (The Red Lion). That is unless you are over 75 like staring at dumb arse waitresses with too much make up on, and revel in particularly nasty flock wallpaper, plastic flowers and lots of single sad guys who just go to drown their sorrows and talk golf...Give me a break.......

Quite nice pub with nice garden area in the summer but far to expensive for me. Which is a shame as it is nice outside in the summer with play stuff for the kids.

The best pint of Adnams bitter I can remember. Good food, friendly staff. Decor a bit like a film set of an english pub.
