No longer a pub - just a pretentious and overpriced restaurant. But its sister establishment, the Crown at Bray, is still a pleasant place to have a drink.

It's a couple of years since we last visited and we thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food. Pub food yes but top quality. The beer wasn't bad either. Heston even put in a guest appearance much to the enjoyment of our daughter ;-)

the food here is not as good as i thought it would be. the hot pot was meant to be the best ever....not in my opinion. very expensive and relying on the name of the fat duck.

Beer on range wasn't that extensive as I had been led to believe on their website, but they did change throughout the Saturday night I was there so that there was five local real ales on offer. The pub itself is more of a gastro-styled pub (a reflection of the local population) with little room for sitting and drinking and more room given over for eating. There also seemed to be a large number of staff who seemed to double check what everyone else was up to. Food has the Heston touches (such as the Meat Fruit and Chocolate Wine Slush) and is worth trying.

Like every pub in Bray, owned by Heston 'Snail Porridge' Blumenthal, and mainly dedicated to food. Having said that, pub has oodles of old world charm with wood panelling and open fires, and staff are friendly. However, have to say all three real ales were at best average on my visit, all a bit tired. probably don't shift much in a gastropub like this, so maybe stick to two pumps and keep it fresher, or maybe I was just unlucky. If you like spending money and not fussed about real ale. might be worth a visit.

Just another expensive gastro pub (i.e. not a pub) owned by a name and there are better locally. Does Heston get on the stove here? I doubt it. Crazy prices even for Bray. Very cliquey in the bar.
The real pub is the Crown just along the road but Heston has bought that too - God help us locals!

Heston Blumenthal owned bar/restaurant. Expensive at half the price but this should be expected for Bray. Apparently the triple cooked chips are worth trying.
Bar area is a bit cramped.
