Last review sums it up. Nearly didnt go, as I expected it to be a restaurant in a former pub - but it is all pub.

The beer - Fullers Pride - was OK. The food looked and smelled delicious but we had already eaten.

Very busy with drinkers, a party and people eating.

A pub that also serves Thai food as opposed to a Thai restaurant that merely has a bar (c.f. The Bell, High Wycombe and The Queens Head, Crowmarsh Gifford) The George gets the balance just right. Three real ales - London Pride, Wainwrights Golden Ale and Tring Side Pocket; the latter a steal at £3.10. Mix of age ranges in attendant on a late Sunday afternoon, barely discernible muzak in the background, Norwich-Spurs on for those of that inclination (Norwich won 1-0) all in a relaxed atmosphere set against the backdrop of an establishment that still bears the hallmarks of the coaching inn it once was. Very nice indeed.

This is now one of the most popular drinking houses in Wendover. The Thai food is always excellent, they have good choice of lagers, Thatchers Gold cider on tap, and for the ale drinkers London Pride, Speckled Hen, local Tring breweries Sidepocket and Purity Mad goose ales are all good. And to make it even better they have a happy hour between 5pm and 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays. 2 Pints of Beer (that's any beer) or 2 Glasses of Wine for £5.00

Good old pub with ales on tap and really great Thai food at a reasonable price. Would defo recommend for a low key quiet evening meal with friends.

traditional pub-cum-thai restuarant, a phenomenon that ive noticed appearing more and more around the country. its a nice place to be, with low ceilings and exposed beams. seems to range form completely empty to heaving with very noisey 50 year olds.

food prices very good, havnt tried but tempted at the price. beers are standard, not much to choose in the ales department.

If its beer you want go round the corner to the pack horse - a proper wet sales only pub

could be much better as it still has great character, doesnt open long enough to attact drinkers

Great old pub, with fantastic staff, serving excellent authentic Thai food.
One word of warning though, the towel in the toilets must be a health hazard!!!!!!
