Lovely real pub which service excellant ales at a fair price

Always a must to visit, amazing atmosphere being a rugby pub with the Exeter-Wasps game on. Wife and daughter liked the ciders, including some of the Westons flavoured ones, usual range of West Country beers on, Butcombe Pure Breed and Sharps Atlantic plus others.
|
Worth seeking out. Interesting beers (always changing) at realistic prices. Can get busy when rugby on TV. Seating outside and also at front as well as two rooms inside. Dogs welcome. Beer festival in November.
|
A proper boozer just off the beaten track. A good selection of beers on the pumps and a couple of ciders too. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

Great little pub hidden away. Thanks to BITE we sought it out and enjoyed some excellent beer.

Easily the best pub in Bridport, Graham has a lovely sense of humour and runs a lovely pub, lots of teams playing various sports. When I was there a couple of weeks ago Boltmakers came on as a replacement for a Mansfield ale. Three regular ales and three guests, they could be anything.Sky T.V. and two smashing gardens, I watched parts of the last home Ashes on the giant Garden T.V.10/10.

Probably the best pub I've visited in Bridport, thus edging out the Ropemakers (although if you want a cider, don't ignore the Stables restaurant). It was enjoyably woozy on a week day afternoon and a front garden area is a good place to enjoy some rays. A really good range of beers.

A no-frills boozer. Very friendly staff and customers. Can get busy on Saturday afternoons when rugby/football on the large screen TVs. Up to 5 real ales from West Country brewers and beer festival in November. All pubs should be like this!!!!

what a great pub. fabulous beer, great atmosphere and full of locals. we stayed two nights and can highly recommend it. lovely room and superb breakfast. top boozer.
|
Very fine pub which I sadly never found before in all my trips to Bridport. Fine beer, fine locals and sport on the telly, which included watching the incredible finish to the premier league. All in the pub had a great time, even the Man U. supporters, despite their mortifying disappointment.

Friendly pub which was pretty busy - deservedly so - when I visited on a Friday night recently. Decent range of ales and wide screen TV. Would definitely return.

A great pub with Great Beer
|
Have always liked the Tiger. Very busy when sport on the big screens. Clean, relaxed and great local beers. Bar staff are fit too.
|
Sterting Friday 12 November The Tiger are holdong their Beer Festival, "0 ales plus a few ciders on offar at any time for a varying roll of the best beers from the West Country. At 2.50 a pint it's well worth a visit.
|
The jolliest and friendliest pub in Bridport. Up to six real ales which are regularly changed. All beers are as local as possible and the variety is always well worth a run through. Visitors to the area rave about the standard of the pub's accommodation and the locals all enjoy the atmosphere. You might find different in West Dorset but you won't find better. Their beer festival will be coming up soon - 20 or so real ales and all at a very fair prices. This is one not to be missed.

What a shame, in a pub that CRIES out for a genuine Free House with an ever changing ale range this pub puts on only three boring ales without change.Trade is dropping off and no wonder, a back street boozer needs to grab the attention of ale drinkers. A real lack of effort.0/10

Fantastic pub ,very clen nice food, lots of real ale but i take the last posters point that a VARIETY of ale styles and gravities would improve the place. i had the pleasure of watching Stuat Broad bowl us to the Ashes in here so i have a real soft spot for it! the fruit machine is a pain and should be removed,it spoils the ambience and can make it difficult to get to the toilets, especially if a really F** B****** is playing the machine!

I've been there three times in the last few days, not having previously been there for years. Very good beer - normally supposed to stock 5 Westcountry ales - but had four when I've been in - Doom Bar, Otter Ale, Otter Bitter and Jail Ale. Someone complained to me that these four ales all taste similar so actually it's not much of a range - but I like the taste so I'm not complaining. Friendly staff, nice and busy. I don't know about the food, but for a pint, well worth a visit. I might go again this evening!
