This place is actually called the Windsor Castle. It's in a none too obvious position on the mezzanine level between the arrivals and departures floors. But it's certainly a better bet than the Bridge Bar airside. Sharps Doom Bar, Fullers London Pride & Exmoor Gold were the beers on Wednesday morning. The usual Wetherspoons breakfasts are also available.

This place was a Godsend during the recent snow chaos. providing reasonably-priced, decent ale to numb the horror of it all. In fact, news on their TV was our only source of information, providing what BAA where unwilling or unable to give us. Don't normally have a lot of time for Wetherspoons, but always glad to see them in airports.

I have visited this place numerous times across the years across the last 2 decades and have always found it useful and a standard Spoons.
There MUST be a new manager now however as the ALE RANGE has abbott as a must stock(std) with 2 x guest ales that rotate I was told and Marcle hill cider on the hand pumps!!
I had a wonderful start to my holiday. It doesn't look like much but I was told by the staff that this spoons is getting refurbed in 2010 (early??) If you are visiting terminal 4 its on a mid level between arrivals and departures. DO NOT GO THROUGH TO THE PUB AIRSIDE inflsted costs and staff that do not care , I believe this was the Bridge Bar.
a++ to all the changes in this place since my last visit - see you again soon!

Pokey little 'spoons, hidden away in the landside mezzanine area. Otherwise much as you would expect, with decent beer but little charm...

Had to fly out going back to the States early in the AM. Was very depressed knowing that I couldn't get another good cask ale for quite a while but ran into this Wetherspoon's. Had 5 pulls with a nice selection of cask marque ale's- I got the best of them the Caledonian IPA. Wife got mad at me for drinking so early (9AM) and so much (3 in 30) but it sure helped the flight go by faster. Service was good. Bar area was clean, too.

Update.. Having just suffered the horrible fodder BA call food from Dallas and en route to Zurich I was praying that Weatherspoons T4 would have something to offer a hungry traveller.... they did. I enjoyed a superb full English Farmhouse Breakfast. Although certainly not cheap it was plentifull and well cooked. Standard of service was still very high. Recommended.

Always busy as a one armed taxi driver with crabs but I was here in January and was amazed by the quality of the beer, the standard of the food and the speed and eficiency of the service.. Top notch! There is a clue here.... the staff seem to be all eastern europeans who dont seem to be afraid of work!

Has the usual false atmosphere of an airport bar, but balanced by a good selection of real ale and fairly quick service (always a plus when trying to catch a flight). Did not find the prices to be outrageous, particularly for an airport.

Monty, if you think this place is bad, for the sake of your mental health don't go into O'Neills in Terminal 3.

The least you can usually say about Wetherspoon pubs is that they are "cheap and cheerful". This place is neither.....that said it is at a airport so what can you expect ?
Are they forced by BAA to charge higher prices or is the idea to rip off tourists ?
