kaktus - I find that rather odd as there is a massive mosque just up the road on the old Express Dairy site.

I hear it is becoming a mosque!!

Was the last night on 31/8, another Morden pub to close its doors..
|
I have known this pub to be one of the most friendliest and social places that I have ever been to. The staff are always very helpful and polite, the regular customers are friendly and like all pubs their is a great variety of beverages. If this is not your opinion maybe in this case you are just too stuck up to be welcomed.

It's alright

I must admit I have a bit of a liking for this pub, in my quest around the area. Quite pleasant during the late morning / early afternoon
|
What a dive. Full of piss heads. Beer was cheap enough and free pool on sundays. But it has a poor atmosphere. I think its on the way to being demolished. Very untidy establisment. Blond bar made was ok. Very polite and half naked. My mate got her number for a laugh, That was the best bit of the night!

Used to be one of the safest pubs in Morden with no trouble and great atmosphere. Over the last year it's gone down hill, pub needs complete re-decorating and the toilets are appalling. Not Managers fault as brewery just don't want to spend the money! They're trying their hardest with food and blues music on Sat nights but some of the staff aren't that friendly and the beers a bit dodgy. My opinion is try it for a pint and then go to Ganleys just opposite the station it's the dogs bollox!!

I didn't think it was too bad actually. A bit dark inside but this was 1230 in the afternoon and in daylight a lot of pubs look dark. I don't know if this is a daytime thing of not but the Kroney was only 1.95 a pint. Had a bit of a twang to it though, but I stayed for a second pint so couldn't have been that bad then. Barman was polite and the two pool tables were a bonus. On the other hand, try finding the toilets without asking anyone..................

Are we talking about the same place.. Im into Blues and there was this home made black partition and stage.. Very empty as well. Think the place is on its last legs by the looks of it. All the bar stools need replacing with the felt ripped off. Tables were sticky and toilets were terriable. We noticed lots of grime on the window sills where it hasnt been cleaned for years. Cant say the it was resonable priced either. 2.30 a pint! Wouldnt of minded if the place had some class. By the looks of the place I wouldnt eat there if I was starving. I wonder what behind the scenes looks like!!! Not be going there again. A J Smith.

Had a fantastic night there. Well kept, reasonably priced beer, clean tables, attentive service and a brilliant live band in the music bar. Friendly crowd as well, not a hint of aggro, and a good atmosphere. Going again

one of the safest place's to drink in morden, the new manager paul has transformed the pub from the lowly big hand mos, to a lively pub, with live bands which are great, recomended for everyone. I say dont knock something intil you've tried it
