Lovely place, went for a training seminar there at the tail-end of 2009. Great service and good-sized rooms. Lunch was a decent buffet but the full menu sounded pretty tasty too. Returning in the next few weeks!

I had a beer and a lunch here. Food was OK but pricey, beer was good.

Good pub to eat on a Sunday afternoon (conservatories provide a smoke-free zone for food) and choice of 3 real ales.

The pub is on the old Rougham airfield that served the 94th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force in WWII. The pub is decorated with artifacts, documents and prints from the 94th BG, and is a great place to have a meal. My father served in the 94th, and spoke highly of the warmth and friendliness of the English people he met. The service in the "Flying Fortress" is all of that. It is a fine place for any visitors from the States to see what it must have been like back then, while enjoying a nice meal and a pint. I bought a print off the walls, and it hangs in my office today!

Was stationed at RAF Mildenhall 1971-74 and went back to visit for the first time last April. My interest is in the B-17 and more specifically the old airfields they flew out of in WWII. I stopped by the Cock Pub in Lavenham and was referred to the Flying Fortress Pub by someone I met at the Cock. Unfortunately (because of the time of day), the FF was closed but it looked very interesting and seemed to have alot of B-17 memorabilia on the walls. Would love to visit again.
