Cricketers, Cambridgeback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
went there on a saturday night and the place was pumping with some good music and a decent vibe. they had ale, was rather too inconvenienced to remember what the name of it was.
it's a good little location with the elm tree diagonally opposite, and the free press not more than a spit further down the way.

It's just reverted to its original name, the First and Last. Not sure how long it was known as the Cricketers, I guess somebody thought that would be a catchy name as it was near Parker's Piece.
|
Now renamed The First & Last, it's been tarted up a bit, pool table removed, bit of polish added. Nice pint of Umbel Ale.

Very good, enjoyable people.

Went through an unfriendly period, for lack of a better phrase, but has recently expanded and it decent now. Good garden.

I stayed upstairs at this pub the night before my university interview - the atmosphere was lovely and the management were so welcoming and friendly. Imagine my horror upon returning recently to find re-furb hell. The place has been ruined (we're talking fake flaming torch light fittings on the walls). Also (new?) landlord got quite demonstrative over the problem of a faulty pool table. Such a shame.

Set between the busy Grafton Centre and City Centre - Great place to get a quiet beer and some great food, regardless of the time. Has its regulars who enjoy Peek time Rugby and Football matches, but the atmosphere is always grand !
