I just want to say, Thank you for the worst experience we have ever had in a pub. Will not be back for more.

We used this pub every few weeks for several years because although the decor left much to be desired the food was actually very good and reasonably priced.Recently it has changed hands and we decided to give it a go. We may visit again, in a few years time.

Food definitely the stand out feature of this pub. Christmas dinner there is AMAZING! Highly recommended. Bit out the way for most unless you've got a designated driver or live nearby.

This cosy, welcoming pub is over 400 years old. A few years ago when a brewery held the licence they decided to do the usual Olde Worlde makeover that ruins a pub. This has all been toned down now after a few private guvnors. The food is delicious; they have a nice range of beer and boast a wide wine selection. In the summer you can sit out in the beer garden and in winter you can warm your frozen digits in front of a choice of open log fires. If youre eating there, my tip is check out the specials board.they really are special. If youre just drinking there, then stand on the raised step at the corner of the bar; makes you 18 taller than everyone else and therefore served faster :-)

Lunchtime food is a step up from usual pub grub.
Good selection of wine.
My sister's local!
