Handy for central exeter - barmaid was friendly enough. Standard 'spoons offerings. Not much else to be said really!

Quite a strange atmosphere when we visited in the evening. Felt like a fight was about to start, with some seriously strange customers. Beer was O.K. tho and I suspect may be alright middayish.

The worst Weatherspoons Lloydst No1 that I know. Like many of the chains bars it is understaffed. Strangely in the Winter they don't put many lights on, which makes for a frustrating time if you want to read. Doesn't normally welcome footy fans but made an exception for Plymouth Argyle (?) More, er...., dodgy characters than the average JTW.

...an ok Wetherspoons pub. Decent staff and ideal if in central Exeter...

Wetherspoons are all the same and you know what you're getting but this is one of the better ones I've visited. Nicely laid out, really busy, good dancefloor...

Ifind it hard to evaluate Weatherspoons pubs. They all seem to be much the same and you know what to expect. This one had slightly less beer choice than normal otherwise par for the course.

Visited Exeter last week on way back from Brixham. Found this pub to be good, and the beer to be in good form.

The CHEVALIER is a very nice lookin art-deco furnished Lloyds No1 Bar that used to be hog's head. The beer is good but the vile chav - scum who congregate there let the place down. I was sat upstairs with a nice pint of Dorset Ales "Ammonite", but it wasn't very restful with the scumbags shouting and effing at each other , 6/10 shame could be so much nicer
