O'Neills, Harborneback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Excellent pub. Good range of beers, leaves other pubs in Harborne in the shade.

No longer an O'Neills, take the picture down.
The pub is now called 'The Junction'
Serving all unusual strong lager/cider.
Can't decide wether it comes across as pretentious or not.

Great beer range, if a tad pricey, whether you're into continental lagers or real ale. Decor has been completely overhauled, and a decent outdoor drinking area as well.

When i first walked through the door i wasnt expecting too much! But have been pleasantly suprised. Great range of beers, food looked like it had been cooked and not just thrown in a microwave! Staff friendly and once i had been served at the bar i didnt move most of the night as the staff were more than willing to serve my table. Get a bit confused if the bottom area is a restaurant or bar seating area, but who cares great addition to harborne, looks like the scum will now only have the stores or varsity to go.

Recently refurbed and renamed. Now trading as "The Junction", its original name before becoming an O'neills. The beer is pricey, and the bar staff are still learning the ropes, thankfully they've kept a few old hands from the days of being O'neills, so the service isn't too bad. Smoking has been banned inside the pub. The courtyard at the back has been partly covered, heaters have been provided, as has seating, so you can still grab a smoke and have a pint. Just be sure to wear your sunglasses, the seating has been painted shocking shades of pink and orange. Nasty. They're selling a wider range of European beers, and the attempt to equate more continental beers with higher prices may backfire. The Leffe at 6.6% abv is only sold in halves, and you'll be charged 1.90 for the privilege. The decor seems to been influenced by Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen. The majority of the walls have been painted in blackboard paint, and there are lots of clashing styles. Perhaps the different lights above the bar are to distract from the ale prices? It might grow on me, but for now, I think it needs to take some tips from the Wellington on Bennetts Hill about how to decorate and run a pub.

As all Oneills, nice beer and good atmosphere, bit pricey compared to the harbourne stores but then again 3 times the atmosphere.

Was a lovely pub called the Junction. Year 2000 saw it stripped of all old fittings, cask beer and etched windows and turned into yet another plasic paddy pub. If you want a decent Irish boozer, any pub in Digbeth beats this. Alternatively, White Horse, New Inn and Stores are all better Harborne options.

Was better when it was The Junction..... but still not bad as O'Neils go. Good bar-staff who can memorise the most bizzare orders. Some form of backyard, but they do get pi**ed off if you sit too high on the fire escape, also the "open plan" gent's urinal over the wall is starting to smell. Friday / Saturday nights are best avoided as there seems to be an increasing ammount of Burberry going on.
