Barristers now closed and being demolished
|
Call on during the local scarecrow festival. Was good to see the local pubs involved in the weekend. I had a lovely ale from one of the local micro breweries, name escapes me! Bar staff friendly enough, will be a shame if what is said in previous message proves true.

The landlord wants to flatten this pub and build houses on it because he claims it doesn't make any money despite the efforts he has put in with live music ect. After my visit on a quiet Friday eve the reason it doesn't make any money is obvious.....The staff are usless! One was ignoring customers to put half a dozen glasses in the washer and the other (skinny, light blue shirt, looks to be in charge) was far too busy with her mobile phone to be interupted by paying customers. The bar service is so bad it seems they are deliberatly driving people away to keep trade down to justify the demolition of this lovely old building, shame on you all!!

It's ok - a good choice of beers and a comfortable environment to drink it in.
