user reviews of the Ram, Tidworth

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I was under the delusion that the Ram had changed for the better and I suppose if you include food then it has but I am sorry to say that is the only thing that has changed as the attitudes of the staff obviously haven't they are rude aggressive and offensive their so called bouncers will be getting a visit from the licensing board as the cannot control themselves from commiting physicle abuse.
Sadly I will be cancelling our Xmas party there and won't be visiting again no matter how nice the food is. Once a dive always a dive. Shame us locals feel this way.

I am the land lady of The Ram as of early February the reason why there are recent positive comments is because this was our opening night. I asked local customers to post on line their opinions to counteract negative reviews from before. I have spent a substantial amount of money refurbishing this place and it has changed for the better. We now serve a full menu served by a fantastic chef. We do have real ales on tap amongst much more. please contact us on 01980 84467 for details

Yo have got to laugh, no posts in almost four years, then suddenly three gushing reviews in less than an hour!!!!!

Poor, very poor attempt at bigging their pub. Frankly I would give it a wide berth just for using this kind of tactic.

Well observed Tuna.
Three 'One-hit Rolands' all in a row.

Self-praise is no recommendation.

Visited February 2014 as heard this place was under new management. We were pleasantly surprised at the clean light and spacious feel. The bar staff were very polite, helpful and chatty. We enjoyed some of the cocktails from a wide selection of individual cocktails or pitchers available. Definitely going back here again. The live singer was pretty good. Might pop back in the day time as they have a large pub garden where we will be able to let the children loose and hopefully enjoy some bar meals.

Similar to previous posts I attended the re opening and must say the place was unrecognisable from previous standards. Bright, welcoming, fantastic service, the bar staff were very tentative and approachable. The new and improved Ram will definitely become the go to place in the local area to suit the needs of many from families to those who are looking for somewhere to let their hair down! Looking forward to many more fantastic occasions here and would highly recommend people going themselves... They will not be let down!!

This pub has nothing to offer. No Real Ale on tap, unfriendly staff and generally a unpleasant place to socialise in. Avoid.

Dreadful squaddie pub, and the only pub in Tidworth proper. It provides alcohol and entertainment to the local garrison, but is hardly one of Wiltshire's (or Hampshire's if you're being picky) gems. It also keep sthe local police entertained and the nearby fast-food outlets in a job, especially at weekends. No real ale, very loud, not worth stopping at. Far better to go to the Boot in Shipton Bellinger (south) or one of the pubs in the Collingbournes (north) if you're passing through, and there are plenty of good country pubs not too far away if you're visiting or don't mind going off the beaten track.
