What a great opening night, roaring fire, great beer and a full pub! Lovely, lovely atmosphere! Selling too much of our beer tho' I keep having to make deliveries ;)

Can't wait for the pub to reopen! I am sure that the new landlords will go above and beyond to cater for all customer needs! Not many people have the drive and passion to start in the pub trade these days let alone put their money into a new ventre of any sort. I think Llandinam is very, very lucky to have somebody come in and take a chance in this industry as so many villages have turned their backs on local pubs for one reason or another? Very best of luck to the Lion Hotel.

We will certainly welcome all the villagers and support the community as we have already employed staff from the village and used all local tradesmen in the refurbishment as a local person from Llanidloes I value the local support greatly for the Lion Hotel to survive in a profitable business we have to find a fine balance to include food and the bar beacuse this is the only way that it will be succsesful not like the previous owners as for Darts, Doms and rugby my wife and I are open to suggestions so please feel free to come along to the opening night on the Friday 2nd December there will be no grand invitation opening we will open the doors at 5pm and would like to invite the whole village to join in.

Point taken.This is only based on rumours anyway. Of course the villagers will give the pub a chance. We wish you all the best with the food and all we ask if you will cater for us as well and you will get good support.

Well I am hugely dissapionted by the comments that have been posted about us especially before we have even opened everybody will be welcome.We have spent a lot of time and money refurbishing the Lion so please give us a chance.

Opening soon. Rumour is new landlord is focussed on food and local people will be an afterthought. There will be no pool,darts,doms or even a quiz nite. No chance of watching the rugby matches in here as well. Why would you take on a village pub if you have no intention of involving yourself with the local community. Seriously hope he rethinks this policy or he will suffer at the till.
