Definitely closed 12/09/12. However surely in such a prosperous location there is scope for someone to reopen it.

Is this place open? Went past it on Friday and the grubby curtains were closed and a sign in the window was re-directing mail. Moss is growing over the roof areas. Their 'Facebook page says: "sorry to all our customers we are now closed till further notice, due to Enterprise Inn's rents and prices of beers" (where have we heard that one?).

Expensive, but to be expected in such a lovely setting.

Used the pub on and off for years when working nearby. Many work do's over the years but a recent one in Dec 2009 was pretty rough and a lunch visit found ale to be pretty expensive with inattentive staff and some surly regulars.

i like the pub, I like the Landlady but......the beer prices are astronomical!!!! 3.60 for Fosters!!!! Someone is having a laugh!

Popped in for a drink and meal yesterday and it was awful. The roast potatoes were well past their best if not inedible and the lamb was 50% fat. The meals were lukewarm and there was no check that things were OK or whether we needed further drinks. Don't be fooled by the look of the dining room into thinking this is a quality outfit. The toilets are via a pool room and swarm of flies so beware.

Not bad, but not first-rate. Lunchtime food is pretty good. The curious thing is that all of the kitchen staff seemed to be playing pool in the pub's rear room (while people were waiting for food at 1:15pm). Possibly the kitchen staff have their lunch break during the time most people want to eat lunch?

Called in last Sunday and spent an hour in the very nice garden. The pub was fairly busy and I had to wait some time to get served. The food was first rate, but I did only have a cheese and pickle sandwich. The young lady serving the food was very efficient but seemed to be on her own, I suggest more staff are needed. A good down to earth pub with no frills that has it's place alongside the more expensive up market dining pubs in Stockbridge.

For a high street pub in an expensive town this was highly disappointing. Service was abysmal - it took nearly 40 minutes for our meals to arrive, and when I tried to pay I was ignored in favour of rather rude "senior citizens" who didn't understand the concept of waiting their turn.
The food wasn't worth the money - my battered fish was dripping with fat and the the chips were more lard than potato. I had a pint f 6X which was badly kept.
This pub lets down the whole town and will not be getting my custom until there is a change of attitude and/or chef.
