Doesn't look much from the outside but they do an excellent beetroot falafel salad and the beer garden has great views of the castle and the nearer priory. My pint of Muckle Tickle tasted good but lost its condition quickly.

Friendly welcome and efficient service in the busy pub. Enjoyed a couple of pints of well-kept brewed by the Hadrian Bordere Brewery - priced at £3.20 a pint this was reasonable in a tourist trap. Serves food, but not all day. Well worth a look. 8/10.

Very friendly pub serving a good pint of local ale. We had two decent meals here when we visited the island but the pubs here certainly like to close bang on time or earlier. Landlord and staff very efficient.

Good choice of up to three local ales - the Scottish Borders Game Bird was excellent. Food is not a bargain, but then the quality is high and much seems locally sourced. Friendly staff and a welcoming feel to the place.

An excellent pub. We were staying self catering on Lindisfarne. From the first time we walked into the Crown and Anchor it was like it had always been our local. Keith, Rachel, Phil, Steve, Ingrid and all the other staff are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere in the bar is very cozy. There's a choice of 3 local real ales all of which are kept in excellent condition and are reasonably priced. The food is just a bit more than your normal pub food and is very tasty. Lovely big garden with stunning views over the harbour towards the castle. This pub is children and dog friendly.
(Please remember to wipe your feet, they've just had a new carpet laid :-)

Beautifully located pub, friendly barman. Looks like they have a few ales though only one when I was there.
