The Bridge Inn succeeds despite itself – too much sport, not enough seats, a rowdy bunch tends to drink here, and there’s a Thai restaurant conjoined to it. But the lighting is good, the service area has character and the shape of the place bestows a certain charm. Nothing much really has changed here over the last 10 or 20 years, which is refreshing. I’ll give The Bridge Inn a solid 7.

Visited here for a quick Thai meal and a beer on the way to the Red Lion beer festival. 3 ales were on - Youngs Ordinary, Fullers London Pride & Sharps Doom Bar. It seems to attract a mix of a transitory crowd, as it is near to the station, and a few rowdy locals. The Thai restaurant is set on its own at one end of the pub. It was fairly busy. The food was ok, but nothing particularly special.

a big sh*t ole

Bit down at heel and not a patch on the nearby red lion but it does the job Unremarkable really. It's open early in the week which is a bonus.

Had a quick one hee as I walked back from the Red Lion. Sharp's Eden, Pride and Hen. Fairly basic boozer with the additional of a thai restaurant. Sky Sports, pool table and seemed generally ok.

This place is literally across the road from where I work, occasionally go in but not much any more.
the Thai food is nice, the beer isn't half bad.
shame about the old bar lady dying a few weeks back :(

Until earlier this week the last time I had been in here was in 1992 whilst I was attending Hounslow Borough College (I think its called West Thames now, how posh!)
Its changed a bit with the addition of a Thai restaurant which makes the drinking part of the pub a lot smaller than it used to be. The pool table and dart board are still there and an extra couple of screens have been put in for the sports.
Sharps Doombar and Eden were on alongside Black Sheep, John Smiths Extra Smooth and a few bog standard lagers. I had to wait a minute or so for the barman to finish putting pint glasses in the fridge before I was served no apology was proffered.
Ive no real complaints about the pub except for, as mentioned previously on these reviews, the overpowering smell of Thai food wafting around the pub.

Did think this was a website for reviewing pubs and not Thai restaurants. This is nearest to my house and isn't too bad. Same faces in every night and some characters, including Stella-drinking dog in corner. 2 halves to it; one with your pool table, dartboard and jukebox and the other more quiet half. Is good to have the choice, although the smell from the restaurant can get a bit overpowering in the quiet half. Bar staff ok although licensee has recently changed and not entirely sure of her proficiency in running the bar. Alienated former barman by not honouring drinks bought for him by grateful customers on his last night. Not a brilliant pub but not bad. Handy for the station

We used to eat here a lot but the last time we went the food was bad, and on sending a dish back the thai lady that runs it insisted there was nothing wrong with it, got very stroppy and said we had to pay anyway. Never been back since. Shame, really.

Terrific place - regular pre-match haunt when going to Twickenham. About a 30 minute walk to the ground so close enough, but not so close that it gets too cramped before a game. Good Guinness and London Pride, and the Thai food in the restaurant is fantastic (excellent value and service as well).

Fabulous pub - Guinness is second to none and atmosphere great. Not sure if the old Irish lady still works here, but she should train the young Irish guy behind the bar to recognise who is next in line for a drink - He is pants at this.

The pub here is ok, the Thai food in the attached restaurant is great and reasonably priced.
|
Good pub - excellent real ale, especially the Abbot. Very good Thai food in attached restaurant - moderately priced. Friendly management.

Went back in after a long absence and still a fine pub. Most "Irish" pubs are phoney O'Neill esque joints - This place manages to capture the atmosphere of a proper Irish boozer, And I am not even sure why.
Has an excellent atmosphere, and is one of the best pubs in the area bar none - If you are in Hounslow, just take the 285 bus down to the Bridge and avoid all the awful pubs there.

Doesn't look inviting from the outside but inside the pub is split into two. One side is a Thai restaurant thats serves good and reasonable priced food, fast service. The other is the pub. Worth visitng but gets busy at lunchtime with office staff. Advisable to ring ahead and book a table.

A good pub for waiting for (and missing) trains home. Always very welcoming atmosphere, cheapish jugs of beer too.
|
This is a nice pub. Very local and cosy, but staff are friendly, beer is good and there is a nice thai restaurant on the side. Would definitely recommend.
|
It's alright. Good for: watching football?
|
Great Thai restaurant attached. Good local crowd.
