Old House, Sheffieldback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Arrived here mid aftertnoon on a Friday & not busy at all - propped up the bar though for our 2 pints worth. Decent modern pub with lots of record memorabilia and breweriana on the walls including Dead Kennedy's Too Drunk to....single cover. This is pub worth going to but only during the quiet bits. They had 5 interesting ales on including the Hillsborough hotel Crown Stannington stout - the most expensive beer I had in Sheffield but at 5% it was still cheap by southern UK standards where a lot of 4% beers cost more than that.

Had a decent pint of Real Ale (Abbeydale was nice) in this bar which - as has been mentioned - looks like a shop conversion. A bit foodie and a younger crowd than us old fogeys, but pleasant none the less. The bar staff seemed to spend most of their time making cocktails and the back bar is crammed with all sorts of drinks bottles just for this very purpose. Stays open till 1pm and 2 at weekends so handy for that last beer before heading back to the hotel. Probably wouldn't stay any longer than 2 beers though.

Rather geared towards food but still serves a decent if pricy pint of ale. Staffed by good-looking young ladies on my visit, one of whom pounced to ask me if I was eating (I didn't, but the food looked good) before I had time to sit down. Presumably a former shop, it features plate-glass doors, a huge mirror by the downstairs toilets and some interesting objects incorporated in the decor. Worth a visit.

Nice bar. Used to sell Jagermesiter for 1 for a shot drink, but now it's 1.50. Has candles on tables in evening. Plays a good selection of music. Quite a laid back atomsphere when it's not too busy, but sometimes it can get a bit over-crowded and you have to wait ages at the bar. Also if you don't want alcohol they sell a hot chocolate and it has a biscuit with it!

Decent bar that gets extremely busy on evenings, especially the weekend when its nigh on impossible to get through the doors. They are perhaps most famous for their stunning array of cocktails - ask them to make it, and they probably will be able to oblige. I tend to visit for the 2 Staropramens served between 5pm-9pm Monday-Friday (maybe Thursday, I can't remember). There are also other "after work" specials. The food here is also of note, with excellent value and large portions being the order of the day. Addlestones cider is also served, and quite nice.

The Old House is an exceedingly trendy, dimly lit bar that most BITE users, I am sure, will loath. It is expensive, and attracts a young crowd and I really like it. There's usually Landlord and a couple of local ales on (e.g. Moonshine) as well as an array of the more high-end lagers. Because of its size it gets busy rather quickly, but it is still worth a look and the pick of Division Street.
