I will not be returning here in a hurry after being charged a rip off £3.50 for a just about drinkable, but VERY POOR quality pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord. Add to that a very unwelcoming, if not a hostile atmosphere that, a stranger had dared to disturb the staff and a few other punters watching snooker on TV and the story is complete.

Sent a letter to the manageres to complain about the appalling service mentioned below. 4 weeks later have still not received a reply - not even an acknowledgement.

Called in latish (9.30pm) on a recent Friday night to sample the Thornbridge beers. The pair of us were the only drinkers, amongst the few diners eating late. At exactly 11pm the manageress came over without any warning and said we had to leave straight away. We both had more than a half a pint left. 5 minutes later we stood outside in the rain waiting another 10 minutes until my wife picked us up at the tme we had prearranged - 11.15pm. Unreasonable treatment of customers and an unpleasant experience. Definitely would not reommended the Bluebell if you just want a few beers.

we went expecting as advertised a nice country pub, it does serve lovely homecooked food but in a higher end environment. the clientele were very high brow and looked down on us. we didnt feel very comfortable at all.

The bell has now reopened, and I called in today. It is a very welcoming and friendly place serving quality ale straight from the cask. Nothing beats sitting next to a real fire after walking across snowy fields. The only downside is the fact that prices are slightly above average. (3.10 for a pint of Jaipur).
