Gets worse and worse. Always understaffed and the bar staff generally aren't very good. Takes ages to get served and there's usually lots of empty "glasses" and spilt beer on the bar. I say glasses but they're actually plastic. Gents toilets are an absolute health hazard. Plus points are the location, the sheer size of the place, the customers (lots of scantily clad young ladies) and the fact that drinks are cheap.

Only two bar staff on went went in on the sat nite waited aged to get served but ended up walking out to the old fat cat which was better
|
Dirty and empty on weekdays and too packed at weekends where you have to wait and hour to get to the bar

Was disappointed by the visit here, lack of workers, very basic beer range. Agree it may work better as a nightclub, considering Southampton's night life did seem a tad non-existent
|
Too large, very crowded, not recommended for a quiet drink.

ok place, was only good when we got a free bottle of champagne (i think thats how u spell it he he) from the bar man he was pretty cute!

Another good place to start your night off, but there are always long queues at the weekend, so after a few drinks, it is best to move on.

A huge place, with great atmosphere. One disadvantage of this place would have to be the fact that they are always short-staffed, but so what.

Loads of potential, but not enough staff is a problem, but not the pubs fault. Having worked in similar cricumstances, it's hard to find your feet when you're getting abused non stop.
Poor cocktails not made too well, but you do get what you pay for.
Would work better as a nightclub.
Still, well worth a look as the place is HUGE!!

Food and service is awful..staff are generally grumpy...such potential as it is an amazing place.Needs a good refurb and some decent staff..with a lot of training

This place should have stayed a cinima. It is under staffed and gets to busy, thats what annoys me about these chain pubs. They employ people with no bar experience or stupid people, a bar half the size or smaller than this place will have more staff serving behind it. Music is shite and its all a bit chav.

This Pub could be the best around; if it had ten more people behind the huge bar, the staff smiled, they didn't run out of pint glasses, had ash trays, put change in the till and cleaned the tables and floor.

great night out in one of southamptons biggest pub, barstaff and doorstaff very friendly, but needs a revamp to freshen it up again, always a good starting point for the evening

Picture the scene, Saturday night, 100 people at the bar wanting a drink. Only 2 serving when the bar is big enough to have about 10 people behind it. Cocktails are good but the beers are crap.

Students should avoid, local hangout and quite pricey but there are worse pubs around.

Used to be a cinema but became a Greenhalls pub and very trendy with massive queues to get in. Not worth it if you just want a decent pint.

Large and rowdy. When visiting Southampton, I quite liked going there on the weekend as it was a good kicking off point for a night out on the town.
