Now reopened and some refurbishment has been undertaken and is continuing. Three handpumps include a house beer from local micro Mithrill and 2 guests which might be local or national. Food is locally sourced including meats from a local butcher and bread from local bakery. Walls have a gallery from local artists and craftspeople. Open all day for coffee and cake as well as food lunchtime and evening.

Different beer every time i've been. Place is a bit run down and could do with new toilets. Sunday lunch was very good.

A genuine house and is the Brewery Tap for Mithril and always one of their beers is available as well as 3 other beers. A successful beer festival was held in August and further events are planned.

One of two pubs in the village, this one was quite pleasant on a sunny spring day. Mithril Flower Power, Wensleydale Curlew's Call, Black Sheep Best Bitter and Marston Moor Oyster Catcher were the real ales. All other customers appeared to be locals. Food was on offer with fish specials.

A little tired and tatty, though with a choice of cask ales, including one from local micro Mithril. Worthwhile to visit just for that.
