Last night I learned that Terrace C and Heswall's other late bar, Los Cabos, are now charging an entry fee............outrageous! The owners should be ashamed of themselves.
|
Tried this place for the first time in a year. Only one draught available - Peroni - so I had a pint. The barman said, "That's 3:45 sir." You've got to be joking, this is Heswall not London!

They have a new manager now. It's safe to go back in the water! To iterate: the bar itself was great, my problem was with the old manager's ethics. Give the new manager a chance. He's a lot more friendly. I should also mention that I have since been threatened with legal action over the comment below, so that will probably disappear soon!

This place used to be grand until the new manager was employed, apparently to run the place into the ground. He is a tube of the highest order and deals with customers as if they were schoolchildren. When I worked there, I had to talk customers out of beating his ass to a pulp a couple of times. I worked there for two years and had to leave due to his deceitful and slimy behaviour. I hope now that there's no-one to bail him out when customers are pissed off, he gets what he deserves: a full-blooded smack in the chops.
Don't drink here until they get rid of the new manager, which shouldn't be long. I have no idea how they can be so pretentious. Reality check: it's a tiny bar above Rightway and a scummy chippy closed down by health and safety. And if you do go in, ask the manager if he knows what a TUBE is.

well - you cannot get a decent pint there so thats me out.

Went in for the first time in months and there seems to have been a few changes. The surly doormen have gone, the staff have changed and two draught beers have appeared - Peroni and Grolsh. Still expensive though!

An upmarket, expensive cocktail bar above a hardware shop in the centre of town. No draught beers available just bottled beers and canned Guinness. Wine and cocktails seem most popular amongst its mainly young customers. Meals served until early evening.
