Recently late January/Early Feb Feb.2014 the landlord did a runner with all the furniture and moveable equipment, drink, etc. so closed down and completely empty 4 bare walls although the stench noted by others still pervading. Don't know if this is an Enterprise or who ultimate owner is but it has been a complete disgrace and they should be ashamed of themselves for allowing it to become so rundown and filthy whilst somehow escaping the attention of Hastings food & drink & health authorities, actually cleaner to drink in the nearby public convenience.

Ordered a pint and had to wait for the landlord to clear up dogs piss from behind the bar. He then went on to serve without washing his hands. Didn't stay to try the ale.

The place was a disgrace - avoid this pub - took 5 mins to get seved by pregnant bar mate who could not be bothered to come in from having a fag outstide - place stank of dog urine, and the gents were even worse. Landlord pissed...............

Nothing to recommend really about this pub, fairly uninteresting inside and only one ale on offer though it seems a friendly enough place.

Visted September 2011 Lunchtime
Dirty and full of dirty looking old men! Toilets a disgrace but on the plus side the lager was fine and the barmaid friendly to us. Only stayed for one mind.....

Popped in here last night after plans for Hastings came adrift (I had gone to 'Weatherspoons' only to find it playing host to a couple of loud irritating young men and in the back of my head the countdown to a fight and the involvement of the local constabulary had started) on the suggestion of one of the people in the group. From the outside and based on the zombie-like group of smokers you usually see, I had given this venue a wide berth, but it proved to be a reasonable venue, bit too much lager on tap for my taste, but the Courage was acceptable and place was friendly and tidy but you need to be OK with various quiz machines and the taste in music of the other patrons. Not brilliant, but for the area worth a visit!

Nice pub. Good beer. Don't be put off by it's location next to Warrior Square and all the dubious inhabitants. The landlord keeps a very good eye on his customers as well as his beer. Pool table and dart board

The least tired-looking of the three pubs I visited in St Leonards, offering various entertainments including ;ive music and a rather dubious-looking 'gentlemen's night' in a few weeks time. Friendly enough, and my pint of Courage Best was in good condition.
