The owner changed it from Remix to the "Velvet Den" which was a lap-dancing venue. Due to pressure from the B & B next door which lobbied the council to restrict opening hours and noise levels. This wasn't successful and the venue closed for good in 2012.
Is now a Bed and Breakfast. Another independent bar gone in Woking.

Yes, appears to be closed for good.

As far as I'm aware, this has been closed down now. Some unfortunate sounding dispute regarding the B&B above. Shame really as it certainly had potential and used to be a nice lae venue years ago.

I really like this bar, very stylish interior & nice design, more of a laid back wine bar than a beer drinking place tho, has regular djs that play good music compared to all the other commercial chained pubs in town. Staff were really friendly. Alex Reid Jordan's husband used to work as security there :-)

Closed the other week.

Walked in then walked out. Just two lagers on handpump and bottled lager. Maybe I was not there long enough to give a rating but this place did not appeal to me. Maybe it is good for clubbers. 2/10.

Hmmmm.. very strange place.. feels cheap and plastic like. appears to be a club late at night downstairs with the bar upstairs. Cheap and rundown the place just does not feel cared for and there is no proper beer on. No good.

Slightly off-centre night time venue in town. The good thing about this place is that it tends to keep the troublemakers of the town away. The late night music events will appeal to the young especially. Staff here do appear somewhat dis-interested which is off-putting. Nothing too exciting beer-wise as it is generally a bottle of lager type of venue. Not quite my cup of tea.

Does have some other bottled beers tucked away in the fridge. Mainly ok for a quick stay as the toilets need a lock on. Not a place to go for a number 2. They also have a downstairs room but that appears to be only open occasionally. Asahi, Peroni, Corona and Becks are the bottled beers which are cheaper some nights.

Does do special offers on beer some nights which is useful. Only the rubbish Kronenbourg on tap along with the not that amazing Fosters.

no comments - i guess people who like good beer dont come here very often. not good beer but a nice guy runs it.
