Clocktower, Torquayback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Have been in here a couple of times recently and have been very pleasantly surprised by the prices - less than£7 for a double Havana Club and coke and a pint of Doombar. For the same round, with inferior rum, I was charged £13 - check - £13, in The Sloop in St. Ives a few days earlier. Worth a visit if you like down-to-Earth basic boozers.

Lease for sale with Bettesworth at 65k, not a hope. Turnover down 100k. 'nuff said!

If you don't like football do not even think of going here when matches are on!
Local gossip is current licensees are desperate to get out!

Good pub only just off the beaten track. It was a saturday night when we went in so it was busy. I think it would be very pleasant in here during a saturday afternoon.

Very busy on a recent Saturday evening, so it was difficult to get a feel for what it would be like at any other time. Seemed pleasant enough though, and I can imagine it would be quite a good spot when it was a bit quieter.
Beers on tap were just Tribute and London Pride. Ciders faired slightly better with Strongbow, Addlestones and Stowford Press.

Good boozer, lots of sport and a lovely spot in the summer.

Not a bad pub, far enough away from the main touristy bit of Torquay to escape many of the tourists so quite easy to get a seat even during the summer. Good welcome, friendly atmosphere and efficient staff. Beers are kept OK but, from memory, were nothing special. Food was reasonbly priced, decent portion sizes and quite tasty although the menu is nothing more than traditional pub grub.
