Castle and Falcon, Derbyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
@staceyfare87 I've only been coming in the castle for the past year or so it may be a dive but most of the pubs in that area are too. But the staff are certainly not rude or obnoxious far from it!! And it's definitely not a DLF pub you should try the Neptune then you'll know about DLF Staff are great the prices very good and the beer is spot on 10/10

The place is a dive and the staff are rude and obnoxious and their regulars are intimidating if you support a certain rival team don't go in there at all costs if you value your life as one other person said home to the Imfamous DLF Derby hooligans DO NOT GO IN!!!!!!

Having read about this on BITE, I was dreading visiting. In the end, I was disappointed – it wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected ! Yes the place is a dive, with the worst kind of 1970s architecture, and the only beer available is pisswater, but the atmosphere wasn’t intimidating at all And at least this time we didn’t have any problems getting served with halves (see Merry Widows). There were a couple of blokes playing pool, a few people watching the sports TV, and a juke box playing some music , but not overloud.

Current 0.7 rate is too high - 0 from me.

Dump of a pub. Looks like something off a late night Sky documentary on "Britain's Scummiest Places" or something like it.
Amazingly, has a Bass on hand pull but is a dump, dark and dingey place. Full of indescript people who have lost a few teeth, fashion sense or any brain cells.

Scutters pub. Avoid at all costs. If you fancy a fight though the drinkers in this hell-hole would oblige I'm sure.

HANG OUT OF DERBYS INFAMOUS DLF FOOTBALL HOOLIGANS. STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS PUB IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE.

This is probably the WORST pub in Derby.
It is a bland, windowless, claustrophobic 1970s structure which for the last 2 years or so has been known as the Castlebar. Its attempt to be a pseudo Irish pub seems to have failed miserably and it has probably only escaped prosecution under the Trades Description Act because it serves Guinness. That said, when I passed today I saw a guy up a ladder apparently fixing the & Falcon part of the sign back.
The only positive thing to say is that it serves Draught Bass, but the last pint I had in there was pretty dire.
Without going into detail, my overall rating is MINUS 5, but as BITE does not deal in negative quantities, I will have to rate it as zero. And that is doing it a favour ...
