Wyndham Arms, Willitonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
This pub still remains a firm favourite of mine when visiting the area.
The beers available were Exmoor Antler at only £2.50 a pint, very drinkable, Tribute and that very very pale EPA. Two real ciders too, Orchard Pig's Philosopher and the infamous Cheddar Valley!
But, the food is still the highlight! Excellent pub food, at reasonable prices served in very generous portions!
Richard, Mandy and Tash, keep up the good work!

OK, so I was the previous poster too!
Great to see everyone still there, the same family working away to please their customers.
Recently visited on a Thursday and Friday night whilst staying locally, hadn't had much to eat either day since breakfast, bravely took on a main course plus dessert! Half of Thursday's cheeseboard came home with me!
The pub was busy with Skittles, Quiz Nigt, regular drinkers and plenty eating too!
If you are in the area, you have to try this real local pub!
Beers on were Dartmoor Jail Ale (very nice), St Austell's Tribute and Exmoor Antler, which I tried having not had it, not a bad session beer. Also Cheddar Valley and Philosipher's Pig on too!

I have visited the pub several times and have happily recommended it to friends. There's usually a small range of real ales on and a real cider too. Excellent value meals, as another poster said, don't have a starter unless you are a seriously big eater. You can also see all of the family who own it working hard for their customers.
The one slight downer is the outside, which looks a little shabby, but can't be helped as it's on the main road from Taunton to Minehead so will always look a little grimey.

The best pub ever I recommend it 2 anyone who enjoys a proper meal out, he service is brilliant and that person who wrote that horrible review obviously telling lies they need 2 get there facts right the pub wasn't built by the original owners cuz if it was they would be about 400 years old the pub is 300 years old and older plus I think you've been hit by a bus cuz your brain isn't functioning properly !!!

What a fantastic meal, don't forget to bring a doggy bag to enable you to eat for up to a week later, yes the food is that fresh. It is a great pity that the approach to the pub is a little off putting with the disgarded dog ends, this is no different than other pubs/restaurants over England. Nice friendly atmosphere and very good service. 8/10

This place needs some serious thought!! Service was awfull and the guy who i think they called ''Phil'' who served us looked like he'd just been hit by a bus!! He was obviously drunk, but still - does NOT look good. The reputation of the pub as I got told in the bar was built up by previous owners the same person said it was on the market for 500k - please!! I should have gone on my first impression by the horrible paint work and 1000's of fags everywhere!!

Great food, but dont have a starter unless you are a seriously big eater, the portions are huge. Cheapest drinks around and always a good selection of real ales.
