Now "Stones Hotel & Bar"
Had 2 reasonably priced meals, sausage and mash and a pint and a half of Tribute for just under £20.Nice and comfy and not too noisy.
Now called Stones and has had some money spent on it - at least the outside, we didn't venture in.
Has been closed for some weeks for refurbisment, and is due to re open "soon" Has been purchased by the owners of the nearby "hairy dog"
Has recently reopened, believed to be under temporary management employed by the official receiver following a business failure. This is presumably to facilitate a sale as a "going concern" rather than a closed and boarded up pub. No food at present, very quiet as not everyone knows it has reopened.
Has closed down, "may reopen inthe New Year" according to reports in a local newspaper. Not open at present.
Quiet when we went in, didn't see any ale so had a lager. Only after I ordered did I see the 3 ales around the corner doh!!!
The dugout has got to been seen to be believed, big screen T.V with probably 20-30 seats set up in terrace fashion. Live music certain nights, food.
Reasonable pub

Tends to get packed out with chavs in the Summer (but where in Minehead doesn't?) but out of season is far nicer. Food is pedestrian and, alas, not inexpensive but at least the ales (Exmoor and St Austell) are well kept.
