Tried the Gurt ale (Three Castles brewed on the premises) which was decent enough. Reasonable if a little tired looking interior.

I visited this pub some time ago and found it very friendly with a god pint of beer (mostly Three Castle or Stonehenge if my memory serves me well). Now they brew their own beers under the "World's End" brand - that being the name for the area the pub is in. Very friendly landlord - Vaughan - who does the brewing as well and a very pleasant hour or so before the train home (the pub is 2 minutes from the station - turn right out of the main station entrance/exit and go down a little path and The Crown is on the right). It is open all day and has a garden area for summer days. The open fire was however welcoming as it had turned a bit chilly on our visit (mind you the pub dog hogged most of the fire!!). If you are on the canal then it is straight down the road from Pewsey Wharf, under the railway bridge up the steps and follow the directions above. Well worth finding. Off the main drag but worth finding. Good place, and open in the afternoon! Suntrap beer garden.

Great pub and friendly landlord. Popped in after completing the Pewsey Downsaround walk. Nice selection of ales, ciders and perries on tap. The Weston's perry was very nice. Overall, very homely and welcoming.

Great place.
6 beers from local brewers - today Wads, Stonehenge, 3 Castles, Cottage, Plain plus (of course) Wolds End. Also 2 Broadoak ciders on pump.
Grand landlord as well.
I will return (as someone said!)

Had two pint's here sat in the nice sun-trap of a liquiod pie gaden, dare I say the three castles I preferred to their own brew that was available.
.........Oh and a nice fairy cake to go with the ale.....as you do!! 7/10

Fantastic friendly pub, service prompt and quick even though we arrived in our own bus with 30 odd people. Nice garden out the back for sunny days, landlord justly pround of his own little brewery' Worlds End, the Gold was in fine form. No food as far as I could see other than nuts and crisps. Right by the stop for the Pewsey to Swindon bus, which I guess would be handy and a quick walk to the railway station. Top marks all round.

Quirky traditional village pub with several good local beers including their own brew. Enthusiastic landlord. This is just the sort of place you hope to come across while in rural England. Definitely worth trying.

A pub where I feel unthreatened as a woman. Six good real ales and 2 real ciders always on.
|
The Crown inn now has 6 real ales permanently on.
Also it has now installed a brewery in the pub called "World's End Ales" which sells only in the pub.
(It is also less than 2 minutes easy walk from the station)

This is the only CAMRA Good Beer Guide pub in Pewsey! Always 5 real ales and at least 2 real ciders/perries.
They recently had a great summer solstice beer festival.
A typical British quiet and comfortable pub with a friendly atmosphere. I should know it's my local!

Called in this lunchtime having spotted the Old Rosie handpump through the window. Well-kept Old Rosie real cider and both Westons Organic & Thatchers scrumpy as well. Nice quiet pub, no muzac, newspapers available, can't understand why it is rated 4 unless I caught it at a very unusual moment - 8 in my opinion.
