This establishment has once again reopened & I wish the new propreitor the very best. It has so often in the past lacked that something that makes a pub tick. I have never known quite what it is to be frank but it good be very good indeed in the right hands.

CURRENTLY SHUT

No draught, two bottles of Kentish Ale, two bottles of Courage and and a few bottles of Light. Apparently the landlord is leaving and is running down the stock, much to the annoyance of the petanque team who turned up.

Definitely wouldn't come here out of choice. Strange atmosphere, doesn't have the nice 'pubby' feel I like and it has the most dingy restaurant I've ever known. The food is O.K, but nothing spectacular. Although I must say that they do sell good ale.

Haven't eaten here but now a nice and bright bar area, service very attentive and good crowd of people , has a good village local feel without the cliques that sometimes come with such places.

Recently changed hands and been revamped. Bar area is now lighter and less oppressive, but the restaurant is still dark and depressing with few windows; and although we were seated at a table with a window, the view from it was of a very scruffy area. Restaurant staff don't have much of a clue how to treat customers and showed little or no interest. Not so much as a goodbye or thank you as we left. Food was uninspiring, portions small. Beer on offer was Spitfire, Masterbrew and Best. Spitfire was good.
