Cleaner than average Spoons and the £2.18 Hook Norton Flagship was probably the best pint found in the town.

More one armed bandits than punters.

Large 'Spooner' in the centre of town, went in here at midday on a Wednesday and it didn't feature the normal crowd you find in most wetherspoons at midday, that's gotta be a good sign! Good selection of ale and an outside garden area too.

Slightly weird experience - a historic building with standard Wetherspoon furniture, menu, signage etc plonked inside it. Luckily, it also had the up-sides of the brand - well-kept and interesting beer, a reliable menu and (in this case) quick, obliging and friendly staff. Better something that looks like a historic pub with a Spoon inside than one with something worse, I suppose.

Stayed in this pub for 2 nights and had a great time. The room was very nice and the pub itself nothing like the normal Wetherspoons. It had load of character and was the busiest pub in Tewkesbury. With the price of drinks you can't go wrong. Ate there one night and had nice 35 day matured steak.

Had a very comfortable and reasonably priced stay here back in July. The accomodation was good, the interior was very nice and dimly lit, the service was excellent and so was the ale quality, 8/10

Stayed at this pub earlier in the year - It was great the best Wetherspoons I have ever been to by far.
All beers in great shape over the weekend we stayed there, tasty food served with a smile.

This is Wetherspoons at its best and most successful. A thriving pub to suit all tastes; so many rooms and seating areas from the old fogues comfy lounge to the fashionable shiny glitzy bar. Good range of local micros and reliable food all at the customary low JDW price. If you can't enjoy an evening here then stay at home.

Less anonymous than most Wetherspoons places, they did a good restoration job here and it's one of the few Tewkesbury pubs with a (riverside) garden. Personally I don't like refrigerated real ale and the way the chain pub is helping kill off the traditional pub. It's Wetherspoons so you know what to expect, if you just want cheap-cheap this is for you.

Massive Wetherspoons pub attracting the typical mix of Wetherspoons customers. The beer i tried was good (Wetherspoons can be so hit and miss) and the food was good, hot and served quickly. Very busy on friday eve and the local branch of the Leeds United supporters club were meeting here before getting their coach to the game on the sat morning as such was very busy then as well.
