Called after work on a Wednesday not many people in but Wye Valley HPA excellent, but why is it priced much more than at "The Barrels"

Wye Valley pub with a bar that is fairly modern looking and dominated by old signs advertising just about everything you can think of. There is a nice garden area at the rear. Beers on offer were Wye Valley Bitter, Butty Bach, HPA & Dorothy Goodbody's Golden Ale. Cider was Stowford Press.

The one reason to come out of your way is the ales - a good selection of Wye Valley brews and all well kept. Apart from that, it's unremarkable - a bright local's local and a standard stopping off point after a visit to Edgar Street. Conservatory style windows look out over a decent sized beer garden.

This was my local in the 1960s. Harold Daw was the landlord. I have some great memories of this pub.

Agree with tommason - nice fresh decor (does need wearing in a bit) - prices higher than the Barrels

Amazing tansformation. Now one of the best pubs in hereford.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! Been down very recently and it has been totally transformed, a large selection of ales from the Wye Valley Brewery, nice fresh decor (does need wearing in a b it) friendly staff and a great new garden - worth a visit!

Recently bought by Wye Valley Brewery so should be OK when they've finished sorting it out and re-opened it.
