Spent a couple of afternoons here and very pleasant it was too. Great selection of beers but not cheap. Staff happy to have a chat at the bar, altogether I would recommend it for a Belgian session!

Really excellent selection of beers.Friendly staff. Not cheap but food was good.

As mentioned before, this place has a good selection of beers and seems to serve up mussels as a house speciality.
I also fell into the bracket of people that didnt stay long as the music and clientele were getting on my nerves. I ended up sitting on one of the few tables outside and finishing of my pint before finding somewhere a little more relaxing.

Large and trendy. A range of Belgian beers on keg and in the bottle, though most can now be found in a range of outlets around Britain a lot cheaper. Still popular, though often seen as over-rated and over-priced. This is a place that people now come to out of curiosity to check out the beer list, then leave for somewhere cheaper with a better atmosphere. De Koninck, Leff and Stella are all available at the Wetherspoons across the road for less money - and at least the De Koninck is unfiltered.

A case of a really exciting beer list completely and utterly ruined by crap surroundings. This pub is noisy, uncomfortable, and, due to location, full of an obnoxious jumble of drunken students and drunken suits. In half an hour in the place, I went from raving about the beer choices (including some very unusual selections for London) to wanting to get the hell out of there. When my group finally got up to go, a group of drunken suits were setting a pile of beer coasters and napkins ablaze on top of a pillar candle on their table and shrieking like banshees.
Possibly worth stopping in during the day for a lunch (the chips were good, and my friend who had the mussels was pleased with them as well) and a taste of Belgian brew, but otherwise a place to avoid.

Not a very pleasant place and not really a place for those who want to appreciate Belgian beer but ratehr for those who just want to get smashed on it...
Lowlander, not far away at all on Drury Lane, is better for Belgian beer and close by.

rather smaller than the Upper Street branch, expensive unusual beers to savour. Why does this place insist on having inane thumping loud music pumped into all 4 corners ? the place was deservedly packed with discerning drinkers enjoying good banter... I shall return for a more peaceful session one lunch time perhaps.

Brilliant Belgian pub - with a great selection of good Belgian ales and lagers! If, like me, you like to drink something nicer than a bog-standard bland lager, then this is a great place to visit.

Don't go here if your favourite lager is Carling as some of the beers require getting use to. With that in mind tho, the food is wicked as is the large selcetion of belgium beers. London prices

It was the best drinking establishment I have ever been.
I love you all.

Had a pint of something but cant remember what it was because it was so strong most of the evening's a blur. I can remember it being ridiculously expensive.............and luke warm and I mean luke warm. How do these places get away with serving drinks like this? I just won't go back.

I remember going to this place a few times but I don't ever remember leaving. As some of the beers are fiendishly expensive best plan is to be taken by someone who has an expense account.

Cherry beer? Strawberry beer? Apple beer? All we different, but disgusting :-)
Thanks to Ruby for suggesting this interesting, albeit crowded and fashionable bar/restaurant.
