Builders ripping out the interior when I passed recently, looks like this pub has gone for good.

A planning application has been submitted to the local authority proposing that this pub be converted into offices.

Real ale experiment seems to have failed. Pub still open but up for sale.

New licensee has improved this pub a lot and there is now a solitary handpump dispensing a very acceptable pint of Tower "Winter Spirit". Keep up the good work.

A bit of a rollercoaster pub.
Great when the affable locals are in, it transforms from a 'basic'
boozer to a cozy boozer full of good bonhomie, etc, etc, etc.
Mind you the new central heating installed by the new owners
does go some way to the cozy bit. (I'm not called a cat for nowt!)
Match play standard pool table in the centre of the bar provides an
ice-breaker. At 40p a go there are plenty of chancers!

Myself and my wife went into this pub on Saturday, we have past it many of times but never gone in but we was very shocked to see how nice it was in there and the regulars where great, the new owners where lovely people.
I have to admit we ordered our first drink and mine was a pint but i got a lot under a pint and requested for it to be topped up and i was told he would sort me out later which he did and gave me a half before i left.
And the toilets where very clean.
Will definitely be going in there again.

after visiting this pub on a night out i was really impressed, the new owners told me they have been here for six weeks and wow what a difference , great choice of drinks very reasonable prices ,disco on a fri ,karaoke sat and live music starting feb ,i was to late for dinner but a very cheap food menu , would highley recomened and i will defo be visiting again

Have visited this pub on two occasions and have found it to be a warm and friendly family run pub. On the second occasion there was a pool competition with a another local pub. Could not fault hospitality of both the staff and other drinkers. I am very confused by the previous reviews as they are not a fair and accurate representation of this establishment.‎

A dreadful place. I went in here at 10:40pm on a Friday night recently and there were 3 customers. Two were playing pool and one drunk was balancing on a bar stool. A keg bitter and a couple of lagers were on offer. Don't think I'll bother again especially as the Stork is just a few hundred yards away.
