After a couple of ales in the Stanford we took a cab here for some food.
We sat in the dining area of the pub that looks like it’s been re-decorated recently. 2 courses ordered while tucking into the Wells Bombardier Reserve @ 5.2% from the choice of the 5 ales that were on, they also had 4 real ciders.
The food was good, not spectacular just good honest pub grub with quick & attentive service from the 2 waitresses.
After our meal we retired to the lounge area where we stayed drinking until close to midnight.
The lounge is different to the main bar area that has a pool table, fruit machines and a juke box. Older style decoration in the lounge a bit like a 1980’s front room, but it works.
Good pub, the ale was on fine form and the food was decent.
Get’s an 8/10 from me.

Large pub that it’s worth getting a cab to from town that working your way back.
This place sits on a massive plot with a large car park to the front and garden to the back.
We went in the “locals” bar where there were 6 beers on hand pump, a helping of friendly locals, dart board, pool table and juke box…cracking old style “estate” pub that’s how this place feels.
A large collection of beer pump clips under perspex hangs above the bar.
Decent pub that is worth making the journey to, you won’t be disappointed.

Pub on the edge of town, not easy to get to. It is quite large and seems to be a pub of two halves. There is a downt to earth locals bar and the other side can best be called a diner, there is also a pleasantish outside area although a little overrun by kids. The beer range is a bit steady standard with no real treats, but it is well kept and drinkable. We both ate a tasty meal and the food side seems to be very popular. Def worth a look.

2010 CAMRA NE Suffolk Pub winner. Had at least 4 real ales on, including Timothy Taylor's Landlord, and one from local Wolf brewery, both good. Two main areas in the pub, one foodie (not yet tried) and the other with TV, pool table etc. Worth a visit.

This pub is on an estate ,Slerpy entered with a certain foreboding but that was soon forgotten when the guvnor welcomed me with genuine cheeriness, he soon realised that I was enthusiastic about real ales and we had a pleasant chat. in August this pub has a beer festival ( my glass was embossed with an advert for last years event). A community local , very clean and has recieved a CAMRA award for the best pub in N.E. Suffolk . If you are within a couple of hundred miles try it, I would be proud to call this my local inspite of the loud creeky guest beer pump.
