Fine pub and friendly bar staff. Has a small smoking courtyard at the rear of the premises, handy for those warm summer evenings. Well priced beers and friendly clientele. Not sure what Nomadic is talking about, as the clientele were mainly normal work-a-day folk and tourists. "Benifit junkys" (sic) appear to prefer the Last Orders to be fair.

Nice Hobgoblin, but thats about all you can say about this place. Characterless, but seemed typical of the area!

Friendly, good ale (Landlord / Hobgoblin) at an OK price. Good size food portions. Accommodation decent I am told too. Didn't see any of the clientele referred to by 'Nomadic1'...

LOL good post, never been to this pub but it sounds like one to avoid, cheers.

A run of the mill high street pub. Sells the standard issue lagers and beers at reasonable prices. the custom is a selection of Kendals finest benifit junkys and pensioners. Not the kind of place to take your girlfriend (unless shes a chav)but ok for a beer with your mates while your waiting for it to stop raining.
